Passage: John 13:1–17
While working at a summer camp as a young adult, our camp director used one of our devotional nights to have a foot washing ceremony where he and the other key leaders washed the feet of the camp staff. It was a strange, almost uncomfortable time, but it also highlighted how humility is a lost art in our world. Jesus helps us understand the awkward beauty of serving others.
