A Grand Entrance

If you have ever been to a hockey game and seen one of the player’s score three goals, something amazing happens… people begin to throw hats (and sometimes other things) onto the ice to celebrate and honor the player. In case you didn’t know, scoring three goals in hockey is called a “hat trick.” To have thousands of people celebrate and honor you at the same time is hard to imagine. As we examine the celebration of Jesus as he rides into Jerusalem, we also know this was simply a foreshadowing of the ultimate victory and celebration He would offer us through the cross and resurrection.
