Passage: Philippians 3:12–16

Just about every vehicle on the highway has a rearview mirror, so I googled “looking in the rearview mirror.” There are several suggestions on how to adjust your rearview and side mirrors, why it’s important not to look constantly in the rearview (you will crash), and why you should glance at it when you are coming to a stop. However, the first entry past the vehicle suggestions was from Psychology Today: “Stop Looking in the Rearview Mirror.” In summary, acknowledge the past, be fully present at this moment, and take simple, important first steps forward to build momentum. This advice is 2000 years old, but we still need it. Let’s move forward with Christ.
