Singular Pursuit
October 8, 2023 Pastor: Dr. David Lorenz Series: Philippians
Passage: Philippians 1:19–30
People will do extraordinary things to stay alive. Twenty years ago, a young man climbing an 8000 ft. mountain in Romania was buried under two avalanches. His leg and pelvis were broken, but he dug his way out, crawled down the mountain, and hobbled 10 miles to the nearest town. He was determined to stay alive. It is rare for us to devote that much energy, focus, and tenacity to something, but the apostle Paul reminds us that our singular focus every moment should be to glorify Christ.
