Confidence in God
Passage: Philippians 1:1–11
Have you ever listened to a broken record? The record probably wasn’t broken, the grooves were simply damaged in some way that caused the song to repeat a section over and over again. “Broken record” is also an idiom for repeating ideas or truths frequently. The Scripture, and particularly the writings of Paul, may be considered a broken record of sorts because he covers the same truths repeatedly. He knew the early church needed to hear the same message often. We aren’t any different. We need to hear the truth over and over.
