Keep Your Clothes On

Getting made fun of in public is hurtful. Typically, when we are ridiculed, we respond with a “fight or flight” action. We either stand up to our oppressors or run away in humiliation. As we have studied Nahum, we see God warning Nineveh of the humiliation that is coming. Not because God is mean but because the Ninevites have been the oppressors; they have been the ones to ridicule and tear down the people of God. God is slow to anger, but we must recognize the gravity of sin so we may see the majesty of God’s Holiness.
