Author Anne Lamott provides a simple understanding of the power of forgiveness. She says, “Forgiveness means it finally becomes unimportant that you hit back.” God chose to forgive us by taking our debt onto himself. As we move into the holiday season, may we thank Him for His great love and forgiveness. With that love, can we find the supernatural strength to refrain from hitting back with someone wrongs us?
