What to Do When Disaster Strikes

A double earthquake struck Venezuela last week, causing tremendous damage and taking more than 2,000 lives. In the past year, there have been 19 natural disasters worldwide that required international aid, and dozens more that required regional or national attention. In these cases, people often wonder “why?” We may never know why, but we can know what God may be showing us in these moments. The book of Joel is one of those moments. God is calling His people to return to Him in the middle of the disaster. We can take confidence in knowing that God is always calling us to Himself.
