Do you know what a “situationship” is? According to Time magazine, it is a relationship that is “emotionally connected but without commitment to future planning. It includes going on dates, having sex, building intimacy, but without a clear objective in mind.” Situationships are one of the fastest-growing relationship trends. It caters to the desire for an obligation-free relationship. Like the ancient world, our culture too often seeks pleasure over commitment, selfish desires over selfless worship. God reminds us this week that we are a consecrated temple!
