The world would be much more righteous if God just took charge, but as author Earl Palmer states, “God is determined to trade the perfection of his solo performance for the possibility of playing a little improvisational jazz with us, the screechy saxophone players in the kingdom of God's ragtag big band.” None of us is perfect, but living by the Spirit and striving by faith to become more like Jesus will change eternity for us and for those around us.
