Real Treasure

We love to spend time, energy, and resources on the people and things we love. Our heart moves us to action. Interestingly, when it comes to generosity within the local church, just 21% of Christians set their church giving at 10 percent or more of their income. Typically, their giving varies (37%), while 25% don’t give to their church at all. Jesus knows best: Where our heart is, our treasure will follow. That’s true of our money, our focus, and our service. As we prepare to receive the Lord’s Supper this week, allow Jesus to turn your heart to matters of eternal significance.
