Refining gold is a multi-step process that requires heat, acid, water, borax, and other agents. It is heated, cooled, rinsed, boiled, and heated again. It is a painstaking process to get 24 karat gold (99% gold content) or even 18 karat gold (75% gold content). However, once the refining has taken place, there is something beautiful. The same is true with our faith. Testing and trials create in us the ability to persevere. That perseverance leads us to complete maturity – looking like our Savior, Jesus.
