House Divided

October 30, 2022 Pastor: Dr. David Lorenz Series: 1 Samuel

Passage: 1 Samuel 18:6–16

In July 1969, history was made twice. Most people remember July 20th as the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon. But the day before, another man, John Fairfax, completed an adventure just as grand. He rowed across the Atlantic Ocean solo. Yes, in a rowboat, by himself. The astronauts even acknowledged his great feat, but most of the rest of the world didn’t notice. How we respond when others “outshine” us says a great deal about how confident we are in our relationship with the Lord and what we believe about ourselves.
