Not Really about Giants

Passage: 1 Samuel 17:1–50
If you grew up in church, you probably heard the story of David and Goliath. What you may remember from the account is that rather than a sword, David carried five smooth stones into battle. We often think of those stones as small “skipping” rocks, but they were probably closer to the size of a tennis ball than a rock. He didn’t need all five because the Lord had already won the battle. David wasn’t fighting a military battle; he was fighting a spiritual one. Are you living in a place of victory because you trust in the power of God to do what no one else can do?
