On June 19, 1910, Washington state celebrated the first official Father’s Day holiday. However, it wasn’t until 1972 that President Nixon made it a National Holiday to be observed on the 3rd Sunday of June (58 years after Mother’s Day was officially a holiday). Sometimes it takes a while to get things going. As you and I look at our lives, how long has is it taken to get moving on matters of the Kingdom? Are we committed to the King or committed to ourselves?
