With Words AND With Action

How we approach people matters. A few weeks ago, a high school student told me about a friend who had done poorly in a competition. Rather than kick him while he was down or offer 10 suggestions on how he could improve his performance, the teammate simply said, “Don’t worry about it, there will be a next time, just keep working.” As Christians, we need to demonstrate more of these “arm around the shoulder” moments with those in our lives… loving them through our words AND our actions.
