A Test of Hope

August 4, 2019 Pastor: Dr. David Lorenz Series: Zephaniah

Topic: Zephaniah Passage: Zephaniah 3:9–20

Since school starts in just a few days, have you ever been unprepared for a quiz or test? You knew it was coming, but didn’t bother to prepare. You may have even thought you were smart enough to “do okay” without studying. Sometimes, your plan works out okay, but sometimes it doesn’t and you reap the consequences of being unprepared. The best you can hope for is the teacher exercises grace. For the nation of Israel and for us today, God allows the consequences of our actions to be seen, but He is still full of grace and love. May we not take advantage of that grace, but live a life worthy of his rejoicing.
