Into Your Hands I Commit My...
Series: Prayer Topic: Prayer Scripture: Luke 23:44–46, Hebrews 10:19–22
Tests! As a child, I always hated “fill in the blank” tests because they required the most study. The blank always represented the unknown, especially with a lack of study. This Sunday we will look at Jesus’ final prayer from the cross: “Into your hands I commit my spirit.” After He uttered these words, His head dropped in death. It was finished, accomplished, completed. What if, today, we filled in the blank? “Father, into your hands I commit my __________.” And what if, in our prayers of desperation, we discovered we don’t really need answers, we just need _____________ (I’ll fill in that blank for you Sunday).
